What is the difference between White, Yellow & Pink Clay?

And which one is best for your skin type?

Nestled amongst each of our crystal infused beauty ranges, we have intentionally crafted a few skin loving clay masks. Using a natural clay as a face mask is an excellent way to gently draw toxins from deep within the pores and remineralise the skin.

We specifically work with three of the least dehydrating clays, as they don’t draw moisture from the skin but rather nourish with minerals and leave the skin soft and clean.

Each of the three clays, White (Kaolinite) Clay, Australian Yellow Clay and Australian Pink Clay are comprised of a slightly different mineral makeup, meaning they serve different purposes when applied to the skin.

White Kaolinite Clay

For Sensitive, Dry Skin

White Kaolinite Clay is a very gentle clay made up of the Kaolinite mineral, and unlike many other clays does not draw moisture out of the skin, making it an excellent option for dry and sensitive skin types.

White Clay is a great exfoliant, as it gently removes dead & dry skin cells to draw out dirt, oil and other impurities from within the pores and stimulate cell turnover. As a result, a white clay face mask treatment leaves the face visibly clearer, reduces the visibility of pores and evens out skin tone, making it a perfect ritual before applying makeup, resulting in a flawless complexion.

How to Create a Face Mask

Take a teaspoon of Clay and mix with your liquid of choice to create a paste. Your liquid could be purified water, floral water, honey, natural yoghurt or a gentle skin oil.

Apply a thin layer of the paste to your face, avoiding the eyes or going to close to the hairline.

Allow to dry for 5 – 10 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water.

During this 5 – 10 minutes, you may choose to take a little time for yourself and enhance the energetics of the crystal infusion. If your mask of choice is the Rose Quartz Clay, why not try a heart cleansing ritual, or a gentle yoga flow.

Follow by giving your skin a moisture boost with a nourishing face serum or a natural face cream.

We encourage you to get creative with your clay mask and use it on other areas of the body or as a hair mask whilst or before you get in the shower.
